John O'Dowd MLA

John O'Dowd was born and grew up in the Parish of Tullylish in the Banbridge district of Upper Bann and currently resides in the Constituency with his wife Mary and their two young children. An active member of Sinn Féin for 25 years ,John is a member of the Party's governing body, the Ard Chomhairle. He has served as an elected representative for 14 years and is currently in his third term as an MLA for the Upper Bann constituency, having topped the poll in the 2007 and 2011 Assembly Elections. Cllr Johnny McGibbon, Councillor. Loughside/Craigavon Council.

Though still in his twenties Johnny McGibbon is an experienced politician who served as National Secretary and Ulster Organiser for Ógra Sinn Féin while still in his teens and he is presently in his second term as chair of Craigavon Council's Environmental Services Committee. Johnny gave up his studies at the University of Ulster to become the youngest Councillor on Craigavon Council in 2007. He has since graduated with a BA (Hons) from the Open University. Brendan Curran has a vast experience in both Community work and politics having served as a Director of a community owned Business Enterprise Centre and on the Board of a Neighbourhood Renewal Partnership. Cllr Gemma McKenna - Councillor Portadown DEA/Craigavon Council

Gemma McKenna, from the Garvaghy Road was elected to Council in May 2011. Gemma is a Politics graduate from Queen's University, Belfast,and is currently studying for Teaching degree. Gemma has been involved in community and political activism for the last five years. Gemma joined Sinn Féin as a member of the party's youth wing, Ógra Shinn Féin a body which she has represented internationally. She acted as the Ógra representative on Sinn Féin's governing body the Ard Chomhairle and is an active member of the Portadown Sinn Féin Cumann. Mark O'Dowd a 'back room' strategist for Sinn Féin for over twenty years. he was elected to Criagavon COuncil in May 2011. A past pupil of Lismore Comprehensive School, Mark has held a number of senior posts within the Sinn Féin organization and is currently an office Bearer on the Party's Upper Bann Constituency Group.


Cllr Liam Mackle - Councillor in Lurgan DEA/Craigavon Council

Liam Mackle a father of two and was elected to Council in May 2011. A graduate in History from Queen's University and Law from the University of Ulster he worked for the Citizen's Advice Bureau, and as Advice Manager with Gingerbread, before taking up his present position with the Children's Law Centre.
