The 6th of September 2010 marks the 70th anniversary of Vol Thomas Harte whom was executed along with his comrade Vol Patrick Mc Grath by Free State forces in Dublin. Thomas is buried in the Republican plot in his native Lurgan. Republicans gathered at his graveside as part of a Sinn Féin event to mark his 70th anniversary and to honour the man and his cause.
